Parade, Floats And More At The Doggie Gras!

The Helen Woodward Animal Center understands that your furry friends deserve a good party, too! On Sunday, February 26th, bring your buds to the most “PAW-THENTIC” Fat Tuesday celebration this side of The Mississippi!

Dress your pup in Mardi Gras themed costumes and connect with Center adoptables, alumni and revelers of all ages, breeds and creeds to celebrate the festive occasion with a Doggie Gras parade.

You can even create your own parade “float” from a spare stroller or wagon!

The day’s festivities include:

• Free parade for pups and their people, march along or watch and enjoy
• Selection of Best Dressed Pet and Best Float ($10 to compete, free to walk)
• Mardi Gras photos on “Bour-bone Street”
• Mardi Gras Face-Painting, Opportunity Drawings & Treats!
