Art Of Élan Pop Up Concert: Beyond Reason Is Another Good Reason To Visit SDMA This Weekend
Art Of Élan Pop Up Concert: Beyond Reason is a compelling program that features a variety of thought-provoking music of the 21st century. At the same time, serving as its back drop is the immersive and provocative installations of Irish sculptor Tim Shaw!
A Film Viewing After The Art Of Élan Concert
Following the concert, join an 8:00 p.m. screening of the film Bloody Sunday (2002) in the James S. Copley Auditorium. “Bloody Sunday” offers valuable historical context in understanding the origins of many of Shaw’s pieces. It also significantly depicts a conflict whose repercussions are still deeply felt today.
The film is Rated R and runs for 107 minutes. Separate film screening ticket required.
This concert is inspired by the exhibition “Tim Shaw: Beyond Reason” on view now through February 24, 2019.
