BAKED Opens Its Doors In East Village

East Village’s newest café – BAKED – opened its doors this week.

The café features an internationally inspired menu with options including Kolaches, a Central European pastry made with dough and filled with delicious combinations such as spinach, pepper jack and egg, Pide, a Turkish-style flatbread with a variety of toppings, Pot Pies and Village Pies, and a build your own bagel, bialy, bowl and wrap offering. BAKED also has a large selection of coffee and tea.

Owned and operated by Scott Lutwak, the CEO of Fit Athletic Club and founder of Restaurant.com, BAKED has found a home in the former Brooklyn Bagels space, located at 1000 Island Avenue.

At this time, BAKED, designed to be COVID-19 operational, is accepting orders for pick up and to go, which can be placed online here. The café will also have six tables six feet apart for outdoor seating on their two patios, ensuring a safe social distance.

BAKED is open seven days a week, from 7AM to 3PM (or until sold out). For more information please visit here.

See you there….and stay healthy, San Diego!
