Amour Is In The Air This Valentine’s Day With Bleu Bohème
Bleu Bohème, located in Kensington at 4090 Adams Ave., will celebrate l’amour with a specialty three-course, prix fixe dinner and festive cocktail, available from 4 to 8PM exclusively on Monday, Feb. 14.
Created by owner and executive chef, Ken Irvine, Bleu Bohème’s specialty menu will be priced at $85 per person. The Martini d’Amour will be offered for the celebration, made with Flor de Cana rum, Grand Mariner, Fonseca #27 port and fresh lime juice, and is priced at $15.
To start, guests may choose between wild mushroom soup with parmesan and fresh herb croustade; crab croquettes with jicama remoulade, tomato-rocket salad and saffron aioli; fresh-roasted beet salad with clementines, pickled red onions, goat cheese croquettes and rocket lettuce; house rum-cured, cold-smoked salmon tartare atop goat cheese crêpe with lemon zest, capers, chives, caviar and crème fraiche; or Brussels sprouts with butternut squash, house-smoked bacon and apple balsamic vinegar.
Entrée options
Entrée options include Faroe Island salmon with roasted Japanese potatoes, butternut squash, cauliflower and sorrel beurre blanc; large dry-pack sea scallops served with saffron lobster risotto, linguisa, rapini, fennel and basil pistou; petit filet mignon with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, spinach, green peppercorn sauce and black truffle butter; Shiitake and oyster mushroom raviolis with ratatouille, spinach, espelette, tomato relish, herbs and white wine cream sauce; or cassoulet of Hudson Valley Muscovy duck leg confit served with cannellini beans, garlic sausage, smoked pork belly and pistou.
Dessert offerings
Dessert offerings include crème brûlée, rich vanilla custard with a crunchy sugar crust; warm brioche bread pudding with caramelized apples, raisins, white chocolate and caramel sauce; warm gingerbread topped with strawberry confiture and caramel ice cream; warm flourless chocolate cake with Kirsch Chantilly cream; or sweet crepe filled with Nutella and topped with vanilla ice cream, caramel and toasted hazelnuts.
