AKA in Gaslamp Quarter

Where Flavor Meets Fabulous

“We’re creating a flavor revolution in the Gaslamp!” says Alessandro Minutella, AKA’s visionary co-founder.

Chef and partner Takuya Kudo, acclaimed for his expertise in Asian fusion cuisine, has crafted a menu that merges innovative techniques with traditional flavors, offering a sophisticated yet approachable dining experience at AKA, catering to food enthusiasts and night owls alike.

Paying homage to San Diego’s vibrant tapestry of culture, AKA’s menu artfully combines the bold flavors and culinary traditions of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisines.

While Chef Takuya Kudo is unleashing pure kitchen sorcery, mixology genius Gerardo Bedolla is conjuring up next-level cocktails.

Add in nightly entertainment that’s pure electricity, and you’ve got a recipe for the hottest spot in town. And on weekends you can expect AKA to transform into a spectacular celebration that keeps the party going until the early morning hours.

A Multi-Sensory Journey

“At AKA, we are on a mission to breathe new life into the heart of the Gaslamp. We can’t deny that the pandemic has posed significant, lasting challenges, impacting both the vibrancy of the area and the spirit of community,” said Alessandro Minutella, co-founder of AKA. “More than just a meal, we’re crafting a multi-sensory journey that engages the palate and invigorates the spirit. With our inventive dishes, captivating events, and unparalleled service, we aim to redefine dining and celebration in this iconic district.”

On the design front, Cassandra Builer is turning dreams into reality, creating the perfect backdrop for your next amazing night out.
