Cardellino Launches Summer Menu, Mission Hills Happy Hour & Wednesday Lasagna Nights

With the summer season in full swing and a shift to patio dining for the near future, TRG has enhanced Cardellino’s menu with a focus on a Wednesday Lasagna Night, a new happy hour,
and a dinner menu focused on seasonal ingredients and elevated Cal-Italian dishes reflecting Chef Brad Wise’s flair for innovative pastas, grilled meats and comfort foods expressed in his signature style.

Cardellino Seasonal Menu

The seasonal menu features Summer Corn Agnolotti with sunchokes, English peas, corn jus, basil butter; Hamachi Crudo with basil, beet chips, meyer lemon, melon, kumquats; Coal Roasted Summer Squash with onions, olives, feta, rosemary almonds, chili oil; Coal-roasted 16oz Cedar River Ribeye topped with scampi sauce, fresh grated pecorino cheese and cracked black pepper; Lamb & Pistachio Triangole with crème fraîche, sumac oil, maitake, cilantro, mint; and Spiced Fried Chicken with lemon, thyme, and fra diavola spice.

Mission Hills Happy Hour

On Wednesday, July 15, Cardellino will launch a Mission Hills Happy Hour that will be available Wednesday through Sunday from 2:00pm – 6:00pm on the patio.

The happy hour menu offers a selection of 12 tasty appetizers ranging from $5 to $15 including Blistered Italian Long Peppers filled with Lomo and Seasoned Ricotta, a Cardellino Burger with TRG Crack Sauce, Prosciutto Toast with melon and seasoned mascarpone, Calamari Fritti, and Baked Mussels.

Guests can treat themselves to select $5 wines and beers and specialty cocktails, as well as “Per il Tavalo Cocktails” (cocktails for the table) for socially-distancing table mates.

Wednesday Lasagna Night

Every Wednesday night at Cardellino they are making lasagna to take home and enjoy with family. The lasagna dinners feed 4-6 people and include a choice of Meat Sauce Lasagna ($60) or White Lasagna with Roasted Vegetables ($50). Accompaniments include Antipasto, house-made Focaccia & butter, house Chop Salad with Pickled Ramp Vinaigrette and Caramel Budino with whipped cream & biscotti. Order hot and ready to serve or cold to heat and eat later. And don’t forget the vino! Add on a bottle or two for takeout!

Cardellino is currently open Wednesday through Sunday with Happy Hour from 3:00 – 6:00pm, Dinner from 5 :00pm – close and Brunch on Saturday & Sunday from 8:00am – 2:00pm. The all-new Mr. Trustee Creamery is open daily. Visit here for the latest hours of operation and to place takeout orders.
