Communal Now Open In Oceanside

Communal, the creative-minded café and shop known for its North Park and South Park locations, is now open in Oceanside. Communal offers a full craft coffee and drink menu, seasonal food offerings, creatively designed spaces, fresh flowers, and curated goods.

Communal Now Open In Oceanside

New venue, same community focus

The Oceanside location is a multifaceted space that anchors Tremont Collective, a community of like-minded businesses, offering a private patio, designated flower shop, full café experience, and a retail and event space next door, dubbed “The Annex.” The new venue is a perfect complement to Communal’s emphasis on inspiring and caring for the local community, and visitors are encouraged to come and stay for the day while doing some shopping, working and socializing over a glass of wine, seasonal lattè, or craft cocktail.

Guests are welcomed in with the smell of fresh coffee and flowers, and a mural created by North Park artist, Chelsea Smith. With two large skylights, the Oceanside space mirrors the natural tones and coastal palette of Communal’s other locations, with elevated elements like the winding wine bar with wooden barstools, a styled lounge with leather couches and chairs and of course, a communal table. The thoughtfully designed space has ample seating both indoors and outdoors.

A fresh Fall menu

A fresh Fall menu created by Chef Jeannette Silva features items like the Fig and Prosciutto Pizzetta, Bahn Mi and Roasted Cauliflower perfectly paired with the seasonal Ginger Pear Cocktail, Sparkling Sangria, or glass of wine to be enjoyed from the seaside-inspired wine bar. Communal’s favorite all-day offerings, including breakfast sandwiches, toasts and pastries, espresso drinks, as well as salads and shared bites will be available as well.

The Annex

The Annex will allow Communal to expand its current community offerings, inviting guests into the larger event space for curated calligraphy, macramé, flower arranging classes, and more. Guests can also rent the space for their own events such as baby or bridal showers or company parties. The Annex is also home to a larger selection of Communal retail products, including everything from gift cards to baby items and home accessories.

To start, the Communal outpost in Oceanside will be open from 7AM to 7PM, but will soon be open until 10PM. Communal continues to mature and expand with more offerings and locations but remains focused on connecting with the community and giving them a warm, uplifting experience.

See you there, San Diego!
