Corner Chicken Opening Friday In East Village

Corner Chicken, proudly perched in the trendy East Village neighborhood, is officially opening its doors on Friday, June 26th and is ready to serve San Diego locals and visitors.

Owned by San Diego’s top ramen destination, Tajima, the eatery is sure to become a favorite roosting spot for scrumptious, crunchy chicken done right. Every dish is made with cage-free, hormone-free, and antibiotic-free chicken, that is 100% delicious.

The menu features half birds, white meat, dark meat, and chicken tender plates, all served with bread and pickles. Diners can also enjoy the Corner Chicken Sando, made with Nashville-style hot chicken, kale slaw, pickles and signature sauce all on a toasted brioche bun. Each option is made to order, allowing you to control the level of spice, which ranges from naked to XXX. Also available are “clucking good” sides, such as Corner Chicken Cheese Fries, Steamy Broccoli ‘N’ Cauliflower, and Kickin’ Mac ‘N’ Cheese.

The eatery will offer soda and lemonade, along with 16 beers on tap from local breweries, such as Stone Brewing Co, AleSmith, Fall Brewing, Juneshine and more.

Owner Isamu Morikizono says, “We are extremely excited to open Corner Chicken, and look forward to providing comfort food for our community that needs it now more than ever!”

Corner Chicken is located at 721 Ninth Avenue, San Diego CA 92101 and will be open from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., Wednesday through Monday.

Stay healthy, San Diego!
