Dance Gavin Dance/CHON

Dance Gavin Dance is a post-hardcore band based in Sacramento, California, and formed in 2005. The band currently consists of Tilian Pearson (clean vocals), Jon Mess (unclean vocals), Will Swan (lead guitar), Tim Feerick (bass guitar), and Matthew Mingus (drums, percussion). The band formerly included lead vocalists Jonny Craig and Kurt Travis. Swan and Mingus are the only band members who have appeared on every studio album.

Chon is an American progressive rock band from San Diego, California. Their music is largely instrumental based with only few songs containing vocal performances. The band consists of Mario Camarena (guitar), Erick Hansel (guitar), and Nathan Camarena (drums). Original bass player Esiah Camerena left the band by the time of their debut EP release Newborn Sun in 2013, and was replaced by bassist Drew Pelisek. On November 8, 2015, Chon stated via their Twitter feed that they have parted ways with Drew Pelisek due to ‘artistic differences’. It was also confirmed by Drew on a personal account. Since Pelisek’s departure, Chon has had several touring bassists, including original bassist Esiah Camarena, who played bass during the Sonic Unrest Tour. It is unknown whether or not Esiah will return as a permanent member of the band.
