The Deck At Moonshine Flats Introduces “Mic’d Up At The Deck” Music Competition

The Deck at Moonshine Flats is mimicking all your favorite singing competitions live and in person with their Mic’d Up at The Deck music contests. Happening every third Monday of the month, the shows are designed to showcase San Diego’s local talent in the area’s favorite Honky-Tonk setting.

Sing Your Way To $500

Each Mic’d Up night features ten of San Diego’s finest singers, battling it out on stage to compete for the grand prize of $500. Competitors, who are hand-selected by The Deck based on audition tapes, sing a total of three songs each throughout the night. This allows the crowd to get a full sense of their talent before casting their votes for their favorite.

At the end of the night, votes are tallied up to determine a winner, with second and third place receiving a $50 and $100 Moonshine Flats gift card respectively. The first place winner takes home $500 in cash, along with a giant souvenir check to commemorate the win.

Along with live entertainment, Mic’d Up nights also feature $1 rib specials, $12 pitchers, plus The Deck’s full lineup of games, including ping pong, foosball, pool, and giant beer pong and flip cup.

Submit Your Audition Tape Now!

The next Mic’d Up competition will take place on Monday, May 13th. Prospective competitors can submit their audition tapes via a form on The Deck’s website, found here. The deadline to submit an audition to compete in the contest is Thursday, May 9th, and competitors will be announced and notified the next day.
