September 20th is California Surfing Day and Oceanside has two elite surfing competitions coming to town throughout the month.

US Open Adaptive Surfing Championships

From September 6-10, the US Open Adaptive Surfing Championships is happening at the Oceanside Pier, showcasing the remarkable talent of para surfers, including Oceanside’s hometown hero, Liv Stone. This is the 6th annual U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing Competition and this year the prize purse has been upgraded to $30,000.

Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro

Happening September 22-24, the Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro will take place at the Oceanside Pier, bringing the most talented US female surfers to Oceanside for three days of thrilling surf and a spectator friendly surf village focused on female empowerment. This is the only large-scale all-women’s action sports, esports and lifestyle series in the world. The event is free to attend and features a concerts series, fitness classes, a female leadership panel discussion, beer and wine garden, a fashion show, a food court and tons more.
