Del Mar Beach is the Place to Be This 4th of July
San Diego’s Fourth of July options are never in short supply, but there’s something different about celebrating it on the beach at Camp Pendleton.
Del Mar Beach opens things up with a full day of sunshine, food, live music, and fireworks – all against the backdrop of the Pacific. If you’ve got access to the base (or know someone who does), this one is worth putting at the top of your list.

A Full Day at the Beach
The beach opens at 6 AM for those who want to snag a good spot early, and the festivities kick off around 10 with concessions, vendors, and a Family Fun Zone running through the afternoon.
Live entertainment takes the stage from 11:30 AM to 3 PM, and the fireworks finale caps the night at 9 PM. There’s plenty of time to settle in, eat well, and soak up the holiday.

Eat Your Way Through the Day
The food lineup alone makes this event worth showing up for. Over a dozen local vendors will be set up along the beach, including Chick-fil-A, Spinning Meats, Shawarma Xpress, Rib Shack, LJ’s Hawaiian Shaved Ice, Alohana Acai Bowls, and more.
Whether you’re in the mood for tacos, a smoothie, or shaved ice on a hot July afternoon, there’s something for everyone.
