Allison Crutchfield Performs Debut Album LIVE At Blonde
Alabama-born indie rock musician Allison Crutchfield is known for forming notable bands such as P.S. Eliot and Bad Banana, but now she’s going solo and this is a show you’ll want to check out.
On Tuesday, March 21st, head to Blonde to witness this now-Philly chick perform songs from her first solo album titled Tourist in This Town. Released in January 2017, the debut is an accomplished work that perfectly integrates her past musical experiences with her newfound growth in arrangement and instrumentation.
Tourist in This Town is “a record about change—change of scenery, of partner, of band, of home, of friends, of outlook—and how that change can cause a temporary panic but ultimate triumph in most of us,” says Crutchfield.
Her music takes you back to that 1990s/early 2000s pop rock dream feel. Somewhere caught between Bethany’s Best Coast and an early Tori Amos, Allison Crutchfield has layered vocals and streaming guitar lines that will definitely make for a good show.
Crutchfield shares the stage Tuesday night with other awesome bands The Fizz, Vagabon and Big Bloom.
