Del Mar’s Summer Solstice Returns With Ocean Views and Epic Eats
There are events you go to once and forget. And then there’s Del Mar Summer Solstice – now in its 20th year – a golden-hour gathering at Powerhouse Park where the village’s best restaurants set up steps from the Pacific, the drinks are top shelf, and live music fills the salt air.
It feels less like a ticketed event and more like the best dinner party you’ve ever crashed.

The Food Situation
More than 15 Del Mar Village restaurants are bringing their A-game, from Adelaide at L’Auberge Del Mar and Jake’s Del Mar to Tamarindo, Brigantine, The Cottage Del Mar, and Queenstown Del Mar.
Two newcomers – Queenstown Del Mar and Häagen-Dazs Del Mar – are joining the lineup for the first time this year, which gives even the regulars something new to explore.

Drinks Worth the Drive
The beverage spread covers the spectrum: CaliFino Tequila, Coconut Cowboy, Duckhorn wines, Serendipity Wines, and plenty more in the wine, beer, and spirits department. VIP tickets are sold out, but general admission gets you full access to everything the evening has to offer.

More Than Just Food and Drinks
The 20th anniversary edition adds a few new layers. Local artist Sarah O’Connor will be creating live seaside artwork throughout the night, with the ocean as her backdrop.
Sand Cloud is hosting a golden hour giveaway. And the newly added Aloha Collection Coastal Lounge gives everyone a dedicated spot to settle in, soak up the view, and watch the sun go down the way it’s meant to be watched.
The music comes from Christian Jules Taylor, whose bluesy, soulful sound is exactly the right energy for a summer evening on the California coast.
A Night That Gives Back
The other reason to be there: net proceeds from Summer Solstice go directly to the Del Mar Village Association, supporting the small businesses and community initiatives that make Del Mar what it is. Buying a ticket isn’t just a good time – it’s a direct investment in one of San Diego’s most special neighborhoods.
