Del Mar’s Summer Solstice Returns With Ocean Views and Epic Eats

When the longest day of the year rolls around, there’s no better place to celebrate than right on the coast. Del Mar’s annual Summer Solstice event is coming back to Powerhouse Park, and we’re already planning our strategy for maximum food sampling.

What Makes This Event Special

Picture yourself steps from the Pacific Ocean, sampling elevated bites from more than 15 Del Mar Village restaurants while sipping carefully curated cocktails and wine. The ocean breeze, live music, and that golden hour lighting create an atmosphere that’s pure San Diego magic.

The restaurant lineup reads like a who’s who of Del Mar dining. Adelaide at L’Auberge Del Mar brings their refined coastal cuisine, while Monarch Ocean Pub and Viewpoint Brewing Co. offer both food and their signature brews.

Local favorites like Beeside Balcony, Il Fornaio, Jake’s Del Mar, Poseidon, and Sbicca Del Mar are all bringing their A-game, too.

New Faces on the Block

We’re especially excited about the newcomers joining this year’s festivities. Coral Del Mar, The Cottage, and Better Buzz have all made their mark on Del Mar Village since last year’s event, and we can’t wait to see what they’re bringing to the table.

The beverage program deserves its own spotlight. Real del Valle Tequila and Hendrick’s Gin are headlining the spirits selection, while wine lovers can explore offerings from Seashell Cellars and Awineco.

Beer enthusiasts will find options from Fall Brewing, and there’s even Boochcraft for those who want something unique. Non-alcoholic options ensure everyone can find their perfect sip.

Setting the Mood

Ben Benavente and the Stateside Bruddahs will provide the soundtrack for the evening, bringing island-style vibes with reggae beats and instrumental looping. Their music perfectly complements the oceanside setting and relaxed Del Mar atmosphere.
