The Supergirl Surf Pro is Turning 20 and Oceanside is the Place to Be
One of professional surfing’s most celebrated events returns to Oceanside this summer for its 20th anniversary – and it’s shaping up to be the biggest edition yet.
The Supergirl Surf Pro takes over the city’s iconic pier for a full three-day weekend of world-class women’s surfing, live music, and a festival village that turns the beach into something well beyond a competition.

World-Class Waves at Oceanside Pier
The Supergirl Surf Pro is the world’s largest women’s surf competition, drawing the best female surfers from across the globe to compete in front of Oceanside Pier.
For anyone who appreciates high-level surfing, watching world-class athletes take on these waves with the pier as a backdrop is a genuinely impressive experience.

Live Music, Local Vendors, and a Lot More
Beyond the competition, the beach transforms into a full weekend festival with free live music, autograph signings, skateboarding, wellness programming, and local vendors.
Past musical performers have included Renée Rapp, Joan Jett, Madison Beer, and Natasha Bedingfield – so the entertainment side of things is taken seriously.
The whole event is free and open to all ages, making it one of the most accessible big-ticket weekends on the Southern California summer calendar.

A Milestone Worth Celebrating
This year marks two decades of the Supergirl Series, which has been running since 2007 as part of a broader mission to empower and uplift women in sports, music, and lifestyle.
Across all its festivals, the series draws nearly 250,000 attendees, features over 8,000 female athletes competing across 14 sports, and delivers more than 50 live concerts and 60 fitness and wellness classes.
The Oceanside event sits at the heart of all of it – and the 20th anniversary edition is bringing new events and activations to mark the milestone.
