“Artists in the House” is Back and Better Than Ever
San Diego has no shortage of creative talent, and the Junior League of San Diego is giving that talent a stage. Their second annual “Artists in the House” event is coming to Bankers Hill, and if last year was any indication, this is one afternoon well worth clearing your schedule for.

A Gallery Experience With Real Heart
The Junior League of San Diego’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Council is behind the event, and their vision is straightforward: turn their Bankers Hill headquarters into a gallery space that celebrates community, creativity, and inclusion.
Up to ten artists will be selected, each with work centered on DEIB themes and social impact. All mediums are welcome, as long as pieces can be displayed indoors.
JLSD’s DEIB Vice President Leticia Smith put it best after last year’s show: “The work was outstanding and so compelling that I wanted to take pieces home – and I did.” She also noted that what made the event truly special was the energy in the room and the genuine sense of community running through the space.
What to Expect on the Day
You’ll move through a curated exhibition featuring the selected San Diego artists, with the chance to meet the creators behind the work, purchase select pieces, and enjoy light refreshments.
It’s the kind of afternoon where you leave feeling genuinely inspired – both by the art and by the people who made it. The event takes place at JLSD’s headquarters in a neighborhood that already has a great track record for cultural experiences.
Artists, This One’s for You
If you’re an artist whose work explores diversity, equity, inclusion, or belonging, submissions are open now through March 16. JLSD is looking for voices that reflect the full breadth of our community and spark real conversation. You can find the submission form linked in the info section below.

Tickets and How to Get Involved
Tickets are for Junior League members and for non-members, with proceeds going directly toward JLSD’s mission. Whether you’re coming to browse, buy, or simply soak in the atmosphere, it’s a meaningful way to spend a Saturday afternoon in the company of San Diego’s creative community.
