ArtReach’s Holiday Pet Portrait Night Combines Painting, Pom-Poms, and Purpose
ArtReach is hosting a Holiday Pet Portrait Fundraiser that leans into everything we love about the season – creativity, community, and a reason to celebrate our pets.
The ArtReach Studio in Hillcrest opens its doors for an evening of painting, decorating, and giving back, with all proceeds supporting youth arts programming across San Diego County.

Bedazzled portraits and festive flair
The event invites pet lovers to create a portrait of their furry (or scaly, or feathered) companion, complete with all the holiday embellishments we could ask for.
ArtReach provides canvases, paints, brushes, and a full spread of decorative materials – pom-poms, collage paper, foam stickers, fabric – so we can dress up our pets in cozy sweaters, silly hats, or whatever feels right.
It’s a guided, playful art session that welcomes all skill levels, which means no prior art experience is required to walk away with something frame-worthy.
A complimentary bar and good company
Beyond the art supplies, ArtReach is throwing in a hosted bar to keep the evening relaxed and social. Whether we’re painting our own pet or creating a last-minute gift for someone else, the setup encourages conversation and laughter as much as it does artistic focus. It’s the kind of event that works equally well for a solo creative outlet or a group outing with friends.
Supporting youth arts programs
The $75 ticket price goes directly toward ArtReach’s Studio Programs, which provide after-school art classes, creative camps, and community workshops for youth and families throughout San Diego County. It’s a straightforward way to support local arts education while doing something fun and festive.
