The event is back for its 40th year this weekend – December 1st and December 2nd – and is expected to be bigger than ever! We’re talkin’ 350,000+ people big!

December Nights features dazzling lights, choirs, incredible food throughout the park, amazing attractions, dancers, bands, snow, and more.
But the biggest feature is Balboa Park itself – the incredible gem of our city.
Put all of that together, and it’s no wonder why this event is San Diego’s largest festival!

Plan Ahead!
As you can imagine, 350,000+ people jamming into Balboa Park in one weekend is a logistics nightmare, so make sure you plan on significant delays and have a plan of attack going into it.
Parking is the biggest challenge, but there are shuttles running from various points in the city to save you from trying to park at Balboa itself. We highly encourage you to take the shuttles!
