There’s a ‘Food Lovers’ Block Party’ Happening in North Park To Celebrate Cross-Border Unity
There’s a pretty cool project that exists right on the border of San Diego and Tijuana.
Roughly translated as “Brotherly Neighborhoods,” the Barrios Hermanos program was launched by a Tijuana-based development group with the mission of connecting the Mexican border city with its neighbor, San Diego (that’s us!).
And they have big reason to do so. There’s a lot of love between these two cities.
Tijuana and San Diego have always been partners in community and business – in fact, they create the fourth largest bi-national marketplace in the world.
While we at There San Diego try to stay out of the crazy world of politics, we are always ready to jump in and promote an opportunity for some much-needed peace in the world.
A ‘Food Lovers’ Block Party’
That’s why we’re all over Barrios Hermanos’ BLVD Market, an outdoor foodie, craft beer, and mingling block party in North Park on Friday, September 15th to celebrate unity (yeah… it doesn’t hurt that it looks like a ridiculously good time)!
Amidst the stress between our governments, Tijuana and San Diego leaders in business, craft beer, art and architecture will be coming together on this night to stand for their good-vibes neighborly relationship.
