3 days of positivity for the bar industry
Now a three-day long event, Bartender’s Weekend serves as a networking event for the bar industry, and aims to spread positivity, forge genuine relationships, and build connections to encourage the growth and betterment of the industry.
The duo, who each have a huge connection to the San Diego bar scene as partners in CH Projects’ Raised by Wolves and Polite Provisions respectively, have found new energy after the industry struggles of the past two years.

A particularly important year
This year’s Bartender Weekend is especially special to Patino, as he is battling stage four pancreatic cancer and wasn’t sure he would be able to bring the event to fruition. Knowing his passion for the project, Lush Life Productions’ Lindsay Johnson reached out to Patino offering to help execute the event, which the team felt was particularly important this year given the pandemic’s impact on the community.
To that point, the event this year will heavily focus on building the community back up in a thoughtful and inclusive way, with 100% of ticket sales donated to Another Round Another Rally, a nonprofit that provided emergency aid to hospitality workers facing unanticipated hardship.

A celebration of the service and hospitality community
Originally conceptualized as a one-day celebratory gathering for the bar community to connect and unwind, Bartender’s Weekend has turned into a 3-day event that will kick off on March 20, and will be hosted at The Lafayette Hotel, an iconic boutique hotel being redesigned by CH Projects, who in addition to Raised by Wolves and Polite Provisions, own and operate several notable San Diego bars, including J & Tony’s Discount Cured Meats and Negroni Warehouse, Young Blood, Noble Experiment and Craft & Commerce.
Several CH Projects concepts will play host to the weekend’s events, which include a St. Germain Flavor Tour at Raised by Wolves, a Bruichladdich Classic Laddie bar takeover at Craft & Commerce, and a Hometown Heroes event at J & Tony’s, with cocktails crafted by some of the most renowned names in the San Diego bar scene.

A pool party awaits
To keep with the event’s original vision as a celebratory gathering for the industry, the start of the weekend will be marked with a welcome pool party and will culminate with a downtown San Diego bar crawl on Tuesday, March 22, followed by an after-party. Tickets to this bartender’s focused trade event cost $25 per attendee, and can be purchased via the Bartender’s Weekend website here.
See you there, San Diego!
