Bernardo Winery’s Holiday Nights is Back for 10 Festive Evenings
One of San Diego’s favorite holiday traditions is back, and it’s exactly the kind of festive escape December needs.
The Full Holiday Experience
Picture this: the entire winery village lit up with holiday lights, roaming carolers spreading seasonal cheer, hot mulled wine in hand as you stroll through the grounds.
The Holiday Shopping Village features local artisans and crafters, perfect for last-minute gift hunting that doesn’t involve fighting mall crowds.
The Tasting Room stays open for wine lovers, while The Kitchen Restaurant offers grab-and-go Italian dishes. Manzanita Roasting Co. serves hot chocolate and other warm drinks, and nightly food trucks provide plenty of tasty options.
For kids, balloon-twisting and face-painting elves keep the entertainment going. And don’t miss Miceli’s Polar Express Train Exhibit – an outdoor, holiday-themed miniature train display that enchants visitors of all ages.

Plan Smart
A few important notes: Bernardo Winery can’t accommodate large parties during Holiday Nights, so this isn’t the spot for big group gatherings or gift exchanges.
Dress warmly – December evenings get chilly. Bring cash for vendors who may not accept cards. No pets allowed on the grounds, and no outside food or drinks permitted. Carpooling is recommended since this event draws serious crowds. Weekdays tend to be less busy if you want a more relaxed experience.
Santa’s Schedule
Santa won’t be at Holiday Nights, but he will be at the winery every morning from December 13-14 and December 17-21 for Breakfast with Santa from 9 AM to noon. It’s a chance for kids to meet him without long lines while parents enjoy mimosas and brunch – honestly, a better setup than the typical mall Santa chaos.
