Summer Farmer’s Market Tours with Francesca Orlando

Francesca Orlando, founder of Healthful Living SD, will lead informal educational tours, providing valuable insights into selecting the best seasonal and local produce and prepared foods from your local farmer’s market.
You’ll learn about the economic and health benefits of shopping locally, how to navigate a farmer’s market, and strategies for building nutritious meals from market finds. Francesca will also share seasonal recipe ideas featuring unique, in-season produce available from vendors at the market.

Monthly Yoga Class with Kayla Cervantes
11 AM | Cardiff 101 Booth, Cardiff Farmer’s Market, 3333 Manchester Ave., Cardiff
Start your weekend with a rejuvenating Vinyasa-style yoga session on the last Saturday of every month at Cardiff Farmer’s Market!
The 45-minute session will be guided by Kayla Cervantes, a certified yoga instructor with a 200-hour training certification from MiraCosta College, currently pursuing her 300-hour certification.
Kayla’s approach focuses on combining flowing movements with controlled breathing, ensuring the session is accessible to all experience levels.
Registration: Pre-registration is highly recommended as space is limited. Participants can reserve their spot for $5 (redeemable for $6 in ‘Market Bucks’ to spend at the Farmer’s Market). Reserve your space online here or sign up at the Cardiff 101 booth.
MiraCosta College will provide information about its Yoga Certification courses at the event. Please arrive 15 minutes before the class begins to sign a waiver and meet your instructor.
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for stretching, and bring a yoga mat, water, and sun protection. Those under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
