Cast and Crew of Stephen King’s “Thinner” to Hold a Reunion Screening in Oceanside

Oceanside International Film Festival is kicking off its exciting season with an exclusive reunion screening of Stephen King’s Thinner, featuring a live discussion panel with members of the film’s original cast and crew.

In the film, a lawyer (played by Robert John Burke) finds himself growing “Thinner” when a mysterious hex is placed on him. The lawyer must call upon his friend in organized crime (Joe Mantegna—Criminal Minds) to help lift the curse, as time is running out for the lawyer as he draws closer to his death, and grows ever thinner by the day.

The 1996 cult classic horror film screening and Q&A will take place on Saturday, January 20, with doors opening at 4 PM at The Star Theatre in Downtown Oceanside. This event is in anticipation of the main festival, which will be held February 20 to 24.

Brought to you by Visit Oceanside and OIFF, Stephen King’s Thinner screening will feature a Q&A with legendary horror director Tom Holland, stars Robert John Burke, Joe Mantegna, and monster makeup artist Vincent J. Guastini. The discussion will dive into their careers in filmmaking and include a limited meet and greet with the stars.

See you there!

General admission tickets are $30, and senior, student, and military discounts are available for $20. Tickets can be purchased online here.

The Star Theatre is located at 402 N Coast Hwy, Oceanside, CA 92054.

See you there, San Diego!
