Cherry Blossoms Beckon in Balboa Park
March is coming, which means it’s time for the Cherry Blossom Festival at the Japanese Friendship Garden (JFG) in Balboa Park —a can’t-miss opportunity to experience the natural beauty of our city’s jewel!
Cherry Blossom Festival VIP Tickets
A VIP ticket gains access to the VIP entrance located at the Upper Garden back gate. This entrance is limited to JFGM members and VIP Cherry festival ticket holders. Click here to purchase.
Cosplay Contest
Compete for awards based on two categories:
- PRESENTATION: Stage presence and costume appearance during the walk-on of the Cherry Blossom Cosplay Contest event.
- CRAFTSMANSHIP: Quality and accuracy of the costume. You’ll need to bring a reference photo to leave with the judges. Work-in-progress photos are always recommended.
Awards will be given out for:
- Best in Theme—Cherry Blossom
- Best in Originality
- Best in Show
