Ever Run A 12K? No? That’s One Reason Why You Need To Run Crown City Classic’s July 4th Race…
What better way to show your patriotism this 4th of July than to run through the historic town of Coronado decked in your red, white and blue?!
Started in 1975 and continuing every 4th of July thereafter, the Crown City Classic has a run for everyone. With a 12k, a 5k, and a half-mile (for kids), this is surely the way to earn yourself a firework celebration!

Those that normally partake in races may have noticed that 12k is an unusual distance. “Why a 12k distance?” they may be asking themselves.
Crown City’s answer: Because nothing is more patriotic than running 7.4 miles on 7/4 in one of America’s most patriotic cities!

We couldn’t agree more!
So bring the kids, strollers, walkers and anyone else that just likes to get moving and have a good time!
And don’t forget to stick around for the Coronado Independence Day Parade which begins at 10 a.m.!
