Free Hip Hop Night is Taking Over North City in San Marcos
San Marcos has a street party going on, and you’re invited. North City’s “Dancing in the Street” series is back with a full summer lineup of free, open-air dance nights held every last Friday of the month – and the next one is a hip hop celebration worth clearing your schedule for.
The Lineup for the Night
The evening kicks off with a live hip hop performance from the professionals at Bella Lux Entertainment, setting the tone for the night with real energy right from the start.
From there, the crowd gets in on the action with a guided hip hop dance class – no experience needed, no judgment, just good music and good moves. The night closes out with open dancing and a live DJ to keep things going.
More Than Just the Dance Floor
The dance class and performances are the main event, but the night has a lot going on around them. The Friday farmers market runs alongside everything, so there’s plenty to browse between sets. North City’s eateries are open for food and drinks, and live piano and DJ sets fill in the gaps throughout the evening.
It’s the kind of night where you can ease into the energy, grab a bite, wander around, and then find yourself back on the dance floor before you know it.
Everyone’s Welcome
This one is open to all ages and all experience levels. So bring the whole crew, bring the kids, or just show up solo and see where the night takes you. It’s free, it’s outside, and it’s one of those low-key San Diego summer nights that ends up being a highlight of the week.
