Balboa Park’s December Nights Returns For Its 41st Year!

December Nights is back, and it’s expected to be bigger and better than ever! Back for its 41st year, December Nights will feature our favorite holiday traditions, including light displays, choir performances, Santa Claus and the annual tree lighting.

Eat & Drink

A December Nights highlight for many is the amazing food. Vendors will be serving up international delicacies, homemade treats, and hot toddies to keep you warm.

Christmas Shopping

Thanks to the stores and museum shops of Balboa Park, you can come for December Nights and leave with your holiday shopping wrapped up!

Top-Notch Entertainment

There’s a reason 350,000 people start their holidays with December Nights. From ballet and banjos to parades and puppetry, the holiday entertainment is top-notch and non-stop.

This year visitors will be treated to five stages with entertainment, more than a hundred vendors selling handmade goods, and a food truck alley featuring more than a dozen food trucks.

The Crowds!

It will be crowded, so you need to plan ahead to make sure you minimize frustration getting to the park. Shuttles, public transportation, and ride sharing is highly encouraged. You can get all of the best tips and logistics details at the city of San Diego’s website.

Bundle up and bring the family to San Diego’s largest holiday tradition!

See you there!
