Fall In Love With Art At Liberty Station’s Friday Night Fest
The season of love is upon us, and Liberty Station is inviting you to fall in love with locally made art and gifts. On Friday February 3rd, the station will be loaded with live art demonstrations, interactive card projects, exhibitions, jewelry (hint: Valentines Day gifts) and more!
Visitors can start their stroll at the Dick Laub NTC Command Center, 2640 Historic Decatur Road, and pick up a monthly program and District map.
Here’s a list of things to see this night:
Art-Making Demonstrations
- San Diego Museum Council features the Chinese Brush Painting Society. See firsthand demonstrations of this ancient painting technique.
- Anneville Studio demonstrates the creation of gold mokume gane wedding rings by hand with torch.
- WabiSabiWeaving, WeaveLife and Sophie’s Gallery is hosting an exhibit of free-style weavings.
Interactive Art
- Lovejoy Creations hosts an interactive card project-make a gratitude card for “Tony the Vet” and he will hand deliver the cards to the veterans at the VA hospital.
- M Fischbeck Studio Gallery features artwork by American impressionist Peggy Fischbeck.
New Exhibits
- Expressive Arts Institute hosts Kathleen Kane-Murrell’s oil painting exhibit in the Martha Pace Swift Gallery.
- MK Envision Galleries host an artist reception with appetizers, refreshments, and featured photographers.
- Women’s Museum of California latest exhibit features Lynda Koolish’s portrait photography.
- San Diego Watercolor Society presents Sweet Sediments.
- Casa Valencia Galería features the works of Liz Vaillard.
Jewelry and Gifts
- 7Stitches Ethnic Jewelry invites you to a Valentines Affair with unique and locally hand crafted gifts for him and her.
- Black Rainbolt Studios features one-of-a-kind art jewelry by Tracy Lee Black and sculpture by Kaiya Rainbolt.
- San Diego Brain Injury Foundation features the works of Deborah Consaul.

- Victoria Hanlon Studio features large format paintings of dairy cows from the Frank Konyn Dairy located in San Pasqual Valley Agricultural Preserve.
