Father Joe’s Villages Hosts Blanket Drive to Support San Diego’s Unhoused Community
Thousands of people experiencing homelessness will receive the gift of warmth this season as Father Joe’s Villages and Team Mulvaney host the eighth annual “Warm Your Heart” Blanket and Sock Drive.
This year’s initiative will provide over 3,000 blankets and socks to San Diego’s unhoused neighbors, offering comfort and protection from the cold.

Providing Warmth and Relief
The event will be held at the Neil Good Day Center, where trained staff will distribute essential items to those in need. With thousands of people sleeping on the streets each night, cold temperatures and rainy weather make survival even more difficult.
Last year alone, Father Joe’s Villages activated its inclement weather shelter 47 times, providing 3,623 bed nights to those seeking refuge from the elements.
By providing blankets and socks, the drive aims to offer immediate relief while showing San Diego’s most vulnerable residents that they are cared for by their community.
