Food Truck Fridays In Balboa Park: The Perfect San Diego Summer Night!

Kick off your summer weekends in style every Friday evening at Balboa Park’s hottest after-hours event. Visitors of all ages can enjoy live entertainment while eating gourmet dishes from a rotating selection of more than a dozen food trucks.

Food Truck Fridays has turned Balboa Park into a popular date-night destination. The participating food trucks provide a little bit of everything from appetizers and main courses to desserts and specialty beverages, and you can catch musical performers, DJs, and dance groups at the Plaza de Panama.

Visitors can even bring lawn chairs and blankets to soak in the view of the Botanical Building and its surroundings or  you can go enjoy craft beers, wine, and cocktails at Panama 66 or the Prado restaurants.

And for the parents looking for a fun way to do some ‘adulting’ while the kids are having fun nearby, the Plaza will also have lots of hands-on activities, a giant checkers set, and over-sized beanbags to keep children and even the children at heart entertained for the evening.
