Liberty Station Has Gift Wrapped An Entire Building For This Month’s Friday Night Liberty Holiday Extravaganza

Friday Night Liberty – held the first Friday of each month at Liberty Station – is San Diego’s biggest art walk. And for their special ‘Holiday Extravaganza’ version of Friday Night Liberty held this Friday December 1st, they’ve gift wrapped an entire building to help bring the event to life!

The former Naval Training Center Pump House has been transformed into a giant holiday gift including 4,300 lights and animated snowflakes that you absolutely need to see to believe!

This ‘Holiday Extravaganza’ event will have winter wonderland dance performances, musicians singing, as well as museums and art galleries all decked out for the holidays.

Lauren Levieux 

Martha Pace Swift Gallery

Hosts the opening of a beautiful new gallery of abstract landscapes by Ellen Dieter at Building 201, 2nd floor.

Women’s Museum of California

Featuring exhibits showcasing the ways women have conformed to various beauty demands – like the dangerously high heels, corsets, and curling irons – across multiple decades and reveals how those demands affect every day women’s physical health as well as their perceptions of self-worth. Happening at Barracks 16.

San Diego Watercolor Society

An artist’s reception for Polar Extractions exhibit including wine, food and the fellowship of other art enthusiasts.  Happening at Building 202.

Outside The Lens

Two spectacular student shows.  The Big Picture that will showcase a diverse array of works from their core programs, and the FOTO Colombia, which is a reconciliation and peace-building project captured in Cartagena, Colombia.

Nancy Tokos Fine Art

Features original oil paintings by the portrait artist, Nancy Tokos at Barracks 14.

Bravo School of Art

Their 9th Annual Member and Faculty Holiday Show and Sale. They have gift certificates available for art classes in jewelry, painting, mosaic, henna art, textiles and more.  At Barracks 19, 2nd floor.

Sara DeSpain Fine Jewelry

The Graduate Gemologist Show and Sale of Colored Diamonds at Barracks 19, 2nd floor.

Point Loma Tea

A Tea Extravaganza! Holiday teas, all organic, handpicked orthodox teas, as well as a variety of holiday accessories to accompany the variety of wonderful teas.
