Local Pastry Chefs Host Charity Chocolate Bake Sale at Herb & Wood
Some of San Diego’s most talented pastry chefs are coming together for a charity bake sale that’s all about chocolate and giving back. The Friendly Feast Chocolate Bake Sale happens at Herb & Wood in Little Italy, with proceeds supporting Friendly Feast, Feeding San Diego, and World Central Kitchen.

How It Works
Boxes go on sale on the Friendly Feast website, priced at $45 each. Every box includes six gourmet chocolate items made by local pastry chefs, and there are only 50 available. Once they’re gone, they’re gone, so it’s worth jumping on this early. Pickup is at Herb & Wood in the morning.

What’s In the Box
Each curated box features a solid lineup of chocolate treats. We’re talking a dark chocolate, orange, and hazelnut blondie from Kylie Cablayan at Herb & Wood, a chocolate coconut macadamia slab cake from Ari Gastelum at Juniper and Ivy, and a s’mores cupcake from Audrey Hermes at Frost Me Cafe & Bakery.
There’s also a ruby chocolate trifle by Daisy Garcia from Continental Catering, an opera tart from Clementine Mitrani-Bell at Clem’s Confections, and a triple chocolate Paris Brest by James Foran from Grossmont College.

Supporting a Good Cause
The event raises funds for the Friendly Feast scholarship fund, Feeding San Diego, and World Central Kitchen. It’s a simple way to enjoy some excellent pastries while contributing to organizations working to address food insecurity locally and around the world.
