Sip Wine Among Exotic Cars at Gillie’s Latin Nights After Dark
Most wine tastings put you in a tasting room with a white tablecloth and someone explaining tannins. This one puts you on a floor of collector cars in Point Loma.
That is what Latin Nights After Dark is: Spanish wine, an open bar, and Latin art staged between the cars at Gillie’s Auto Lounge, with both featured artists there in person. Odd mix on paper. It works in the room.
Wine, Tapas, and a Floor Full of Collector Cars
Gillie’s Auto Lounge is a private club for classic, exotic, and collector cars, which is not the obvious place to spend a night drinking Spanish wine. That is exactly the appeal. For one night, Gillie’s teams up with the San Diego Food & Wine Festival for Latin Nights After Dark.
One ticket covers wine tastings, an open bar, and Spanish tapas, all served on the car floor. Three hours, $99, and nothing else to buy once you are inside.

Meet Chapu and DeAnne Before Their Work Sells
Two featured artists will be in the room with you: Marco Antonio Cruz, known as Chapu, and DeAnne Williamson. Their original pieces go up among the cars, and both artists are there in person to talk about the work.
Everything on display is available to buy, so what is hanging when you walk in may not be hanging when you leave. If a piece gets you, say something early.
See you there!
Wine in one hand, tapas in the other, exotic cars in every direction, and a museum that benefits from all of it. We will see you on the car floor.
