Street Food Cinema Offers Overnight Camping Parties In The Mountains!?

If you love yourself a good night under the stars with Street Food Cinema’s outdoor movie series, how does all of that with a side of camping, partying and adventure sound!?

That’s right. Dust off your sleeping bags, dig out your tents and get ready to party down! SFC is bringing a weekend of movies and outdoor camping fun to King Gillette Ranch, and you need to be there!

July 15th-July 16th, SFC will be featuring Dirty Dancing on the big screen in the Santa Monica Mountains, and their weekend party will include adventure hunts, S’mores, beer gardens, food trucks, karaoke and dance lessons to boot!

Just take a look at this itinerary:

Saturday

3:30 pm – Check-in

Upon check-in, begin your disconnection from the worries of society and get your tent game strong! Forgot anything? No worries. You can stop by the site’s convenience store to pick up any necessities like an extra toothbrush, blanket, chapstick, sunscreen and more!

4:30pm – Johnny Castle’s Dance Lessons

The movie of the night is Dirty Dancing, so damn it, Baby, time to learn how to dance! Learn a little bit of mambo, mix it up with the pachanga and then get a little dirty… (Space is limited.)

6:30 pm – Band performs

High-energy L.A. band Seize The Night will be bringing the tunes and getting everyone in the mood!

Beer Garden

You’re all checked in, you broke it down at dance lessons – it’s time to grab a cocktail, beer or wine. The garden is open before, during and after the movie – just the way we like it 😉

Food Trucks

Replenish those calories you burnt setting up tent. Head to your food truck of choice and claim your picnic-and-movie spot on the grass.

8:30 pm – Movie starts

The 30 year anniversary of Dirty Dancing!? The only way to do it justice is to watch it under the stars on SFC’s colossal screen!

10:30 pm – Outdoor Lounge, Kellerman’s Karaoke and other post-movie activities open

The outdoor lounge is the spot to be. Unwind with the warm breeze, drink-in-hand, and chat it up with your fellow campers. A DJ will be setting the vibes.

Kellerman’s Karaoke

You’re away from all the responsibilities of home, you’re amped up, and perhaps you have some talent (or just want to blow some steam off)! Sing it out to the throwback tunes of the ’80s, or to whatever song your heart desires… (space is limited.)

Photo Scavenger Hunt

Explore the majestic King Gillette Ranch surrounded by 588 acres. Grab some clues and scout the grounds!

Bonfire and S’mores

No camping experience is complete without a fire and some S’mores. Gather around the campfire, toast those marshmallows and smoosh them with chocolate between graham crackers!

’80s Music Videos Celebration

Revel in the awesome neon and retro music videos of the ’80s!

11:30pm – Midnight Hike begins

Slip off those dancing shoes and get your hiking boots on for a guided hike up to the top of the mountains!

Sunday

8:00 am – Catered breakfast opens

Top it all off with a catered breakfast in the morning and feel like an outdoor champion. The breakfast buffet will include an assortment of popular continental breakfast options as well as vegetarian and vegan options.

1:00 pm – Check-out

Tickets

Tickets are $79/person. Camping spaces are $10 per 15’x15′ campsite. Parking is $20 per vehicle. So that runs a couple about $188. Good thing we’ve got the discounted hookup, here ($119/couple)!

Don’t feel like driving? Snag an Uber; there will be a drop-off lane!
