Heritage Fire Brings San Diego’s Best Chefs to Ingram Plaza

There’s something about live-fire cooking that just hits different – the crackle, the smoke, the smell of something incredible coming off the grill. Heritage Fire is bringing all of that to Ingram Plaza, and it’s shaping up to be one of the more compelling food events of the summer.

A Walk-Around Tasting With Serious Firepower

Heritage Fire is part of Tours by a21, a multi-city festival series that travels across the U.S. and Europe. The concept is simple and seriously fun: top chefs cook over live flame while you walk around, taste everything, and soak it all in.

No assigned seats, no formal courses – just great food, curated drinks, and the energy of watching talented people do their thing in real time.

A Deep Cut of San Diego’s Culinary Scene

The lineup is stacked. Expect dishes from Alex Carballo of Grand Restaurant Group, Brian Redzikowski of Kettner Exchange, Bryan Garcia of Cork & Craft, Chris Hutten of STK Steakhouse, Ethan Yang of Glass Box, Ben Diaz of Puama Valley Country Club, Adrian Villarreal of Tahona Bar, Sami Marquez of Vino Trece & Co, and Mark Kropczynski of Grant Grill – all cooking over fire, all in one place.

The Crowd Picks the Winner

Part of what makes this more than just a tasting event is the competition element. After sampling dishes from every chef, the crowd votes for their favorite.

Whoever earns the most votes takes home the title of Heritage Hero – and top winners from select tour stops advance to a Grand Finale, where the best of the best compete for Heritage Hero of the Year.

Your ticket covers unlimited food tastings, curated beverages, live entertainment, and access to all the culinary experiences throughout the event. Early access tickets start at $159 and general admission starts at $109. This one is 21 and up.
