Hideaway Pacific Beach, a vibrant, new SoCal lifestyle-inspired restaurant and bar lounge, is thrilled to announce its grand opening!
Inspired by the laid-back surf and skate culture, vibrant music scene, and relaxed beach lifestyle that makes Pacific Beach one of Southern California’s favorite destinations, this new hangout is designed to be a home away from home where every guest is treated like a local.
Situated just steps from Crystal Pier and the sand of Pacific Beach, the new venue offers an inviting atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.
Providing a unique alternative to traditional bars, Hideaway acts as an extension of home, with a relaxed ambiance and stylish retro decor offering a perfect space for every mood.

“We’re creating a space where locals can come together and feel like they’re hanging out at their own house party, where every room is crafted to evoke the spirit of Pacific Beach,” said Greg Newman, President and CEO of Hideaway.
“We’re excited to welcome you all to our grand opening and keep the momentum going, making Hideaway the ultimate beachside spot for intimate meetings by the fireplace, cozy corners for large groups, quick seating on the patio after surf and skate sessions, and evening transitions into a lively house party mood.”
You can enjoy a variety of seating options in the 5,500 square foot restaurant, featuring cozy indoor lounges and outdoor open-air bars, and wrap-around flame-lit patios with California-inspired spins on American classics.
“We were absolutely blown away by the turnout for our open interviews—nearly 1,000 people! The support and love from the local community is another testament to Hideaway being the local home away from home,” said Greg.
Diverse Menu and Drinks
The elevated food menu will consist of a variety of shareable bar bites, wood-fired pizzas from the pizza bar, sandwiches, and burgers, as well as more sophisticated options, such as Aguachile Halibut Sashimi and 12-Hour Braised Short Rib.
To drink, Hideaway will feature two full-service bars featuring a variety of handcrafted specialty cocktails, bringing the iconic shareable “Social Bowls,” spirits, wine, and 30 local brews on tap.

The grand opening is set for Thursday, June 20.
Local celebrities, including Surfing Hall of Fame inductees, will be there to celebrate, as well as live DJs and fun giveaways.
