Karl Strauss Changing Of The Barrels takes place in February each year because February 2, 1989 marks the day Karl Strauss opened their doors on Columbia St. in Downtown San Diego.
Each February, to honor the occasion, they invite a few friends down to the brewery for the debut of their annual Barrel-Aged Anniversary release and a chance to taste the next year’s batch before it spends a year in barrels.
This year, they are throwing a party on January 27th to celebrate their 29th year of beer, and you will get to taste the 30th Anniversary edition before it spends a year in barrels. which is pretty cool!

Your ticket includes unlimited pours of 25 special release and small batch beers, eats from Mastiff Sausage and Beirsal Food Truck, live music from Jason Hanna and the Bullfighters, and commemorative glassware.
