What’s This Happening At Liberty Public Market?!

Liberty Public Market (LPM) is turning one and the fine vendors of SD’s only seven-day market are going all out with a ginormous event of Willy Wonka proportions!

As a public market with almost 30 different vendors, there’s no doubt that LPM’s first birthday should be celebrated in a comprehensive way, but one particular vendor-couple decided that a simple bash just wouldn’t do.

That’s right, Tony Morales and wife Leanne, owners of gourmet food store Pacific Provisions, decided to harness their chocolatier-supplier connections to create one wild Willy Wonka-style Golden Ticket event!

It means what you think it means.

Head to LPM by March 31st and you will find over 300 Belgian dark chocolate bars, each lined in a gold wrapper revealing a prize of sorts!

With participation from over 15 of the market’s vendors, every bar in this glorious event is a winner (with giveaways like 10% off your next purchase, free meals, and more), yet one lucky chocolate connoisseur will unwrap “The Golden Ticket” – a $500 value!

Tony, Leanne, and the fine participating vendors, we’ve got two words for you: mad respect.

Bars can be purchased at any of the 15 participating shops for $10 each, while supplies last.

And to add a little twist to your fate, the big box of chocolates was mixed before delivered! So stop by Roast sandwich shop to buy your golden chocolate bar, and you may unwrap a certificate for a free and legendary “Cookie Shooter” from Pacific Provisions (if you don’t know about these, get familiar)!

These one-ounce shot glasses made of pure cookie goodness are coated with chocolate on the inside then filled with your choice of Pacific Provisions’ home-made Bourbon Vanilla Milk, Mocha Almond Cold Brew Coffee, a simple chocolate milk or more!

Yeah… Come to think of it, maybe the right thing to do is start your Willy Wonka journey with a stop by Pacific Provisions for one of these shooters and see where the day leads!

The actual anniversary of LPM falls on Sunday, March 19th and there will be celebratory events going all weekend. See LPM’s website for more info.
