Liberty Station’s Salute the Season is swooping in to transform our beloved historic district into a dazzling winter playground. We’re beyond excited about this lineup of Liberty Station events that’ll have you feeling festive from your head to your mistletoes!
Let the Holiday Sparkle Begin
HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING: Get ready for the most epic tree lighting ever! Liberty Station’s majestic 88-foot Norfolk pine (yep, it’s taller than six giraffes stacked on top of each other!) is about to become the star of the show on November 29 at 5 PM.
This free celebration is packed with goodies—live entertainment that’ll have you dancing, actual firetruck rides (childhood dreams coming true!), and Santa himself making a special appearance. Stick around as the night gets cozy with an outdoor screening of “The Grinch” under a blanket of stars.
RADY CHILDREN’S ICE RINK: Speaking of winter magic—grab your scarves and mittens because the Rady Children’s Ice Rink is gliding back into action for its 27th year! From November 21 to January 5, you can channel your inner ice princess (or prince) at the Central Promenade.
The best part? Every graceful glide and wobbly spin helps support the Thriving After Cancer program at the Peckham Center. Come show off your moves daily from 10 AM to 10 PM!
Sugar Plum Dreams Come True
Get ready for the sweetest holiday treat yet—the San Diego Ballet’s Nutcracker Tea Party is pirouetting into town on December 22! Choose between two magical showings (11 AM or 3 PM) for an afternoon of pure enchantment.
We’re talking delectable treats, breathtaking ballet performances, and yes—Santa’s making another appearance! Snag your tickets for $67.50 to $77.50 here.
Eight Nights of Light
The festivities keep glowing with Liberty Station’s spectacular Hanukkah Celebration on December 26 at 5 PM. Join forces with the Chabads of Downtown San Diego and Pacific Beach for a free community menorah lighting that’ll light up the Central Promenade with joy, live music, and endless entertainment.
