The Bamberg Symphony traces its roots to the 18th Century, when it premiered Mozart’s masterpiece Don Giovanni in Prague. Moving to Bavaria, Germany after World War II, Bamberg Symphony has established itself as one of the leading German orchestras, among the first to tour the United States where it has been delighting audiences for more than fifty year. Charismatic conductor Christoph Eschenbach leads the orchestra in Beethoven’s iconic and powerful Symphony No. 5, in the Overture to Mozart’s Don Giovanni and in Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor, with guest soloist, Ray Chen.
