Shop Local and Handmade: The San Diego Spring Market is Back
Two days, one waterfront venue, and plenty of reasons to fill a tote bag. The San Diego Spring Market is taking over Port Pavilion at Broadway Pier this May, bringing together 100+ independent makers, artists, and small brands under one roof.

More Than Just Shopping
Think home decor, fashion, original art, thoughtful design, and food – all made or curated by people who genuinely care about their craft. This is the kind of market where we get to talk directly to the person who made what we’re buying, which makes every purchase feel a little more meaningful.
Beyond the shopping, there are DIY stations to get hands-on with, photo walls to snap some pictures at, and snacks and drinks to keep the energy up while we browse. Kids under 12 get in free, and with this much to do, it’s an easy one to make a full family outing.

Pick the Ticket That Fits
One of the smarter things about this market is the flexible ticket structure. Prices scale with how early we arrive, so if the schedule is open, the Sunset Shopper option is a solid, low-cost entry point. Prefer more time to browse? The Early Explorer tier opens up a full afternoon of shopping.
For the full experience, the All Weekend VIP ticket covers both days and includes early access on Saturday morning – ahead of the general crowd – along with an upgraded tote bag and a dedicated entry line. At $15, it’s hard to argue with that value.
A Few Things to Know Before Going
Port Pavilion sits right on the water, which makes it a genuinely nice setting for a market day. The one thing to plan around is parking – there’s no lot directly at the pier.
Street meters, paid lots, and public transit all work well; the Santa Fe Depot is just a couple of blocks away with trolley, bus, and Amtrak connections. Dropping off at the front entrance is also an option.
Only service animals are permitted, so the dog stays home for this one. Most vendors take card, and tickets can be shown straight from a phone – no printing needed.
See you there!
The San Diego Spring Market is a great reason to get out and support local makers.
