Breathe, Move, and Be Inspired at the Wellness Experience at MCASD

The Wellness Experience at MCASD is happening, and honestly, this is the perfect way to ease into your weekend.

Picture doing yoga with the Pacific Ocean as your backdrop, then wandering through contemporary art exhibitions afterward—it’s like someone finally figured out how to make La Jolla’s cultural scene feel less intimidating and more fun.

Wellness Experience at MCASD

Two Classes Plus Shopping Time

Angela Kozlowski kicks things off with Sculpt & Flow, then there’s this wellness market hour where you can browse local vendors and actually talk to people instead of just rushing off to your next thing.

Milica Dragisic follows with Alignment Based Vinyasa, so you get two totally different approaches to movement in one morning.

The wellness market between classes is smart—you’re not just rushing from one session to the next, and you can check out what local wellness businesses are doing. Plus, it gives you time to hydrate and chat with other people who are into this kind of thing.

Art After Movement Makes Sense

Your ticket gets you into the museum too, which means you can wander through MCASD’s current exhibitions after you’re done stretching. There’s something nice about moving from that physical mindfulness space into looking at art—both require you to be present, just in different ways.

The Kitchen at MCASD is there if you want to turn this into a longer morning. Yoga, art, brunch—that’s honestly a pretty solid Saturday plan that doesn’t involve fighting for parking at the beach.

Location Actually Matters Here

MCASD sits right on Prospect Street with those ocean views they keep talking about. Doing yoga with the Pacific stretched out in front of you beats staring at yourself in studio mirrors, and the whole museum setting makes it feel more special than your typical weekend class.

Early morning timing means you’re practicing when it’s still cool and comfortable, before La Jolla gets crowded with weekend tourists. The 15-minute early entry suggests they’re organized and want to start on time, which is appreciated.

Community Without the Pressure

The whole “connect with San Diego’s wellness community” thing could sound forced, but when you mix two different instructors, vendors, and museum access, people naturally find their thing. Some will be there for the yoga, others for the art, some for the market—and that variety makes it feel more genuine.

Sixty minutes per class is long enough to feel like you actually did something without being overwhelming if you’re newer to yoga. That’s thoughtful programming that considers different experience levels.

See you there!

This Wellness Experience at MCASD proves that sometimes the best mornings happen when you combine movement, art, and ocean views in one spot.
