On Friday, September 22nd through Sunday, September 24th, the Miramar Airshow will bring us the most awesome aircraft in the sky, complete with air performances, ground tours and displays, craft beer and so much more.
Simply, it’s an event you and your family need to experience. Here are 7 reasons why:
1. Blue Angels

Let’s face it. Any air show that is lucky enough to host the legendary Blue Angels needs to have them listed as the #1 reason to be there! They’re a worldwide phenomenon and they just blow our minds.
This U.S. Navy crew of pilots is highly skilled, ridiculously precise, and (we mean this as respectfully as possible) slightly crazy. They are the definition badass. And we kind of want to be one.

2. Flight Performances

The Blue Angels won’t be the only ones in the air this weekend. Each day of the show will come complete with flight performances from tow planes, hang gliders, parachute teams and so much more. See the daily schedule for all flight performances, here.
3. Tours And Ground Shows

4. After Parties
All these tense flight performances got you wanting to blow some steam off? Head to one of these official after parties to take the edge off with food, drinks, live performances, competitions and more.
- Kickoff Party: Friday, September 22nd, 4 p.m. to close
- Don’t Stop Believing Party: Saturday, September 23rd, 4 p.m. to close
- Weekend Closeout Party: Sunday, September 24th, 4 p.m. to close

7. The Cause
The theme for the 2017 Miramar Air Show is “A Salute to Vietnam Veterans.”
In order to honor the sacrifices and dedication of these honorable veterans, there will be a Vietnam Memorial Wall on display inside the air show expo with daily pin presentations to veterans from 10:15 a.m. to 1:55 p.m.
