Mission Fed ArtWalk Returns to Little Italy for a Free Weekend of Fine Art and Live Music
One of San Diego’s most beloved spring traditions is back for its 42nd year, and it’s as good a reason as any to spend a weekend in Little Italy.
Mission Fed ArtWalk fills the streets of one of our favorite neighborhoods with more than 250 fine artists, four live music stages, family-friendly activities, and plenty of great street food – all completely free to attend.
The Largest Fine Art Festival in Southern California
This is the real deal when it comes to outdoor art festivals. Artists from across the country and Mexico come together to showcase and sell original works spanning every medium – painting, sculpture, glasswork, photography, fine jewelry, and more.
With around 100,000 art lovers passing through over the course of the weekend, the energy in Little Italy is unlike anything else.
What makes ArtWalk special is the direct access it gives you to the artists themselves. Buying a piece of original art and getting to meet the person who made it is a genuinely rare experience, and this festival delivers that in spades.
Something for Everyone
Beyond the art, the weekend is packed with reasons to stick around. Four stages of live music run throughout both days, and KidsWalk offers interactive art projects designed specifically for younger visitors.
Street food, roaming performers, and the general buzz of India Street in full festival mode round out the experience nicely.
A Festival With Real Community Roots
Mission Fed ArtWalk has been title-sponsored by Mission Fed Credit Union for 18 years running, and each festival supports ArtReach San Diego – a nonprofit working to increase equity in visual arts education across San Diego County by delivering free and low-cost art workshops to schools, with a focus on Title One schools.
So beyond a great day out, attending ArtWalk is a small way of supporting something that genuinely matters to the wider San Diego community.
