Celebrate Int’l Tiger Day With Moka & Nola

Moka and Nola, the tigers, are ready to celebrate International Tiger Day on July 29, are you?

These two rescued tigers and many others will mark the annual global observance day by splashing in a pool and frolicking about their habitat in rural San Diego County to help raise awareness for the need to protect endangered big cats.

This day is important because there are only 3,890 wild tigers left globally – a rapidly declining number that leaves them on the brink of extinction! And there’s no better place to commemorate International Tiger Day than at the 93-acre Lions Tigers & Bears exotic animal sanctuary in Alpine to learn about the different ways these tigers were abandoned, abused and neglected:

  • Moka was a product of international trade, found stuffed in a duffel bag crossing the border.
  • Nola was rescued from the entertainment industry as a pet.
  • Tabu was born at Lions Tigers & Bears shortly after her parents were rescued, a captive bred, but the most wild of the bunch.
  • Hank & Crystal were perpetually bred, as many white tigers are On International Tiger Day.

Make plans to pay them a visit!

See you there….and stay healthy, San Diego!
