Supercross Returns to Snapdragon – Five Champions, One Rookie, and a Full Day
If you’ve never been to Supercross in person, January is the month to fix that. Monster Energy Supercross is back at Snapdragon Stadium for Round 2, and the field they’re bringing to Mission Valley this year is genuinely stacked. San Diego has been doing this for more than four decades.
Snapdragon is now five editions into its own run with the series. The city knows how to do this, and the sport keeps showing up with the right reasons to come out.

Five Champions on the Same Track as Haiden Deegan’s Rookie Debut
Here’s what you’re working with: reigning champion Ken Roczen in the 450SMX Class, plus past champions Jason Anderson, Jett Lawrence, Chase Sexton and Cooper Webb – all of them, in the same race, on the same Saturday.
Last season’s runner-up Hunter Lawrence leads the challengers, and Justin Barcia, Aaron Plessinger and Malcolm Stewart have all won Main Events before.
And then there’s Haiden Deegan – making his rookie run in the premier class after building a devoted following through racing and social media. San Diego is one of the first real looks at how he handles the established field. Worth watching from practice.
Inside the Paddock Before the Bikes Hit the Track
FanFest opens the paddock all morning – team rigs, race bikes, the whole setup, up close. You can drift between FanFest and the stadium to catch practice and qualifying before the main events kick off. It’s a full day if you want it to be, and honestly, the morning is half the experience.

See you there!
From paddock access in the morning to championship racing by afternoon – Supercross at Snapdragon is a genuinely great way to spend a Saturday. Don’t overthink it.
