SDBWFF’s Music To Your Mouth After Party Returns: Presented By House Of Blues
It wouldn’t be a party without an after party, right? Turn up the bEATS – it’s music to your mouth at the official after party for the 19th Annual San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival. House of Blues is curating live music from the masters of yacht rock, Band Overboard, along with chef’s bites, lux libations and good vibes.
With four different waypoints throughout the venue for indulging in craft beverages and elevated small plates, and set to an enthusiastic soundtrack of live performances by San Diego’s venerated kings of yacht rock, Band Overboard, the event offers Festival-goers the opportunity to carry their enthusiasm from that afternoon’s Grand Tasting straight into yet another dynamic downtown gastronomic adventure.

In addition to bites from several of the acclaimed chefs participating in this year’s Festival, event sponsors Westward Whiskey, Mount Gay Rum, Danza Del Sol Winery, and Tequila Cazadores are presenting cocktails and pairings throughout the party.
The beverages are designed to complement the themed ‘zones’ the Festival team has curated, each featuring its own unique experience:
Attendees can savor an assortment of sushi and sashimi crafted by Sushi On A Roll’s Owner and Chef Jeffrey Roberto, alongside Private Chef Jessica De Ocampo’s JR Organic Vegetable Bouquets with Champagne Pistou Sauce and Herb and Onion Focaccia drizzled with Graza Olive Oil. Tequila Cazadores Cristalino cocktails and wine selections from Danza Del Sol pair perfectly with these fresh California bites.
Revelers are invited to step into the Tequila Cazadores Café, where the tequila-based coffee liqueur of the same name lends itself artfully to the Espresso Martinis that will keep them moving all night. To complement, a selection of pastries and desserts by Chef Kevin Diaz of Arely’s French Bakery will be on hand. From sausage croissants to luscious chocolate mousse bites, brownie squares, and cinnamon ‘snail’ rolls with raisins and walnuts, this stop ensures a sweet interlude for every craving.
ON THE BAYOU
Southern charm at its most delicious! Chef Quinnton Austin, Culinary Director of Grind & Prosper Hospitality Group, and Chef Phil Humphrey of North Park’s celebrated Louisiana Purchase will transport guests straight to the Bayou with Alligator Andouille Cheesecake Bites and Fried Oysters with Crystal Demi. Mount Gay Rum will be pouring with a lively opportunity to explore the flavors of the islands, offering a series of specialty quaffs to round out the experience.
WEST COAST WHISKEY LOUNGE
The After Party immersion wouldn’t be complete without a venture into the lounge, where Festival sponsor Westward Whiskey will be crafting signature cocktails for whiskey lovers and beyond to enjoy as they sample innovative culinary creations from Avant restaurant’s Chef Sergio Jimenez, Chef Chris Sayre of House of Blues, and Chef James Montejeño.
