Ocean Beach Holiday Parade Gets the Perfect After-Party at Kilowatt
Ocean Beach’s Annual Holiday Parade is back, and Kilowatt Brewing is doing what they do best – throwing a parking lot party that captures everything good about OB during the holidays.
For the fifth year, they’re taking over the corner of Cable and Newport for their Holiday Parade Parking Lot Party, turning parade day into an all-afternoon-and-evening celebration.

The Jolliest Spot in OB
While the parade itself brings the crowds and the festive energy, Kilowatt’s setup at Cable and Newport gives everyone a home base to enjoy it all.
It’s become the spot where locals and visitors alike gather for Christmas cheer and crisp beer, which is exactly the combination Ocean Beach does better than anywhere else in San Diego.
Live Music Keeps It Going
Once the parade wraps, the party doesn’t stop. Live sets from Doah’s Daydream and The Water Spots keep the holiday spirit rolling well into the evening. Both bands know how to work a crowd, and after a few hours of parade excitement, live music is exactly what the night needs.
Holidays the OB Way
OB has its own way of doing holidays – a little more relaxed, a lot more community-focused, and always with good beer involved.
Kilowatt’s parking lot party embodies that spirit perfectly. It’s not overly produced or precious about the holidays; it’s just a bunch of people gathering at their neighborhood brewery to celebrate the season together.
Bundle up (December evenings by the beach still get chilly), bring your holiday energy, and plan to stay awhile. This is Ocean Beach at its best.
