OMA Announces Annual Fundraising Gala ‘OMA Rising’ At The Seabird Resort
The OMA Rising Gala
Located in Oceanside’s Cultural District, the evening will feature performances and live entertainment, a live auction, and a stunning display of visual art. Proceeds raised from the gala will benefit OMA’s ongoing education initiatives, community programming, and help support their mission to celebrate art and share it with the community.
“In 2022, we commemorated OMA’s 25th anniversary milestone. This year, we’re incredibly excited to celebrate our growth and evolution as an institution on the rise,” said Maria Mingalone, Executive Director of Oceanside Museum of Art.
“OMA has become a true cornerstone of the Southern California arts scene, and we’re excited for the community to join us as we celebrate the remarkable ascent of our institution together.”
The evening will begin with a sunset cocktail hour with a hosted bar, signature cocktail, and passed hors d’oeuvres overlooking Oceanside’s iconic pier where guests can bid on dozens of silent auction items including fine art, experiences, and entertainment.
The Hunter’s Moon Dinner
In the spirit of celebrating OMA Rising, dinner will be themed around the Hunter’s Moon, taking place the very same night.
During dinner, guests will have the choice to raise a paddle and participate in a live auction, with a chance to win exciting adventures including an Avalon Waterways European river cruise, a three-night Hawaiian getaway at the Grant Hyatt Kauai, and stays in Aruba, Costa Rica, and Mexico.
All proceeds will support OMA’s rising impact on a thriving arts community. After dinner, guests will dance the night away to The Ivy League and experience surprise interactive art experiences curated by OMA.
This event not only celebrates OMA’s contribution to the community, but also its robust partnership with The Seabird Resort and Mission Pacific Hotel. The Seabird Resort is home to OMA West, a satellite gallery currently hosting works from the 2023 Oceanside Plein Air Festival Featured Artists, an exhibition showcasing local Plein Air artists and their depictions of the Southern California coastline.
Guests are encouraged to explore each hotel’s unique art collections. This unique partnership furthers OMA’s mission to bring people together to explore the art and stories of Southern California artists.
