San Diego Opera’s Opera Ball for All Brings a Noche Sevillana to La Jolla
San Diego Opera’s biggest fundraiser of the year is back, and this time it’s bringing the spirit of Spain to one of La Jolla’s most beautiful venues. The 2026 Opera Ball for All: Noche Sevillana, ¡Ole! is set at the stunning Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, and it promises to be a night to remember.

A Spanish-Themed Evening Inspired by the Season
This year’s event draws its inspiration from two of San Diego Opera’s productions this season – The Barber of Seville and Carmen. Chaired by Veronica and Miguel Leff, the evening will honor Sarah B. Marsh-Rebelo and John Rebelo, and celebrate the company’s 61st season in style.
The hacienda-style surroundings of Estancia La Jolla set the perfect backdrop for a night steeped in Spanish flair, with garden views and warm, sun-drenched ambiance from the moment you arrive.
What the Evening Looks Like
The night kicks off with a reception among the trees, where you can enjoy a specialty cocktail or cava alongside live flamenco and the company of fellow opera lovers. From there, the evening moves into a gorgeously decorated ballroom for tapas, specialty wines, and a sumptuous dinner.
If you’re not ready to call it a night, the Café Momus after-party keeps things going with delicious drinks, more tapas, and a lively dance floor with DJ Zack.

A Night That Makes a Real Difference
Beyond the fantastic evening itself, the Opera Ball for All is San Diego Opera’s largest and most important fundraiser of the year. Proceeds go directly toward supporting the company’s Learning and Engagement programs, as well as everything that happens on its stages and throughout the community.
